Flood damage. There was a solid line of houses along this edge of the creek before the flood. Almost all were washed away and demolished.

This home was deposited in a meadow near Box Elder S.D. It's source of origin must have been at least 1/2 mile away. Flood damage June 9 1972.

The railroad trestle at the west edge of Sturgis on Bear Butte Creek. Debris has chocked all but one section of the channel. This debris caused the creek to overflow and flood several businesses and to cut away the off-ramps on I-90 in west Sturgis.
