TranscriptSOUTHERN 28 TECH 0 In the first quarter, Tech's initial drive was stopped on Southern's 30 yard line, but the opponents were able to complete their first drive as Sudbech went across from the 1 yard line. Almen hit Clemens for nice gains that brought the ball to the 23 yard line, but Southern recovered a fumble and after a couple of short gains, Westling took the ball over on a 54 yard run. In the third period Sudbeck drove around left end for 19 yards and a score. Again Almen, and this time Brooks, maneuvered the ball to Southern's 16 only to turn the ball over to their opponents by a fumble. Ronnie Baver went 14 yards for a score in the fourth frame. HURON 40 TECH 7 Huron put three scores over in the first half; Gunderson on a 37 yard sprint, Henley from the 15 yard line, and Coyle took a pass from Wiren for the third TD. In the second half Gunderson scored from the 34. Tuttle, a freshman, led the Tech squad to a TD on a 58 yard drive. Coyle of Huron scored from the 1 yard line.
