The movie is the seventh to be offered as part of the Devereaux Library's 1998 Nostalgia Night ten- film series. The 1966 movie swept that year's Academy Awards, receiving eight nominations and six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actor ( Scofield), Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Costume Design. The movie stars Paul Scofield, Orson Wells, Dame Wendy Hiller, Robert Shaw, Susannah York, Vanessa Redgrave and John Hurt. Filmed in Britain, the movie also received seven awards from the British Film Academy, including Best British Film. Admission is by ticket booklets or individuals tickets sold at the door for $ 4 on a space available basis.
