The ceremony is held each spring to recognize SDSM& T students, faculty, staff members, and community leaders for their outstanding work and support of the university. University President Richard J. Gowen presented Johnson with the award. The Senior with Highest Honors recognizes seniors who have a Grade Point Average of 3.8 or higher. " Jay Johnson is to be congratulated on receiving this honor. The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers top- notch educational opportunities which combine traditions of excellence with the latest technologies.
