The ceremony is held each spring to recognize SDSM& T students, faculty, staff members, and community leaders for their outstanding work and support of the University. SDSM& T President Richard J. Gowen presented the students with their awards. The names, hometowns and respective awards of students from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area are as follows: CANISTOTA: Daniel Harms: Senior with Highest Honors Award SHERMAN: Arlin Sandbulte: Phi Eta Sigma Award; Tau Beta Pi Award; and Student Academic Achievement in Science Engineering Award SIOUX FALLS: Rafe Chrisopherson: Instrumental Music Award Chad Glaesman: Senior with Highest Honors Award Steve Horner: Senior with Highest Honors Award Thomas Jackson: Student Academic Achievement in Science Award and Senior with Highest Honors Award Troy Jaqua: Outstanding Physics Senior Award Karisa Klock: Basketball Award Joshua Lien: Student Academic Achievement in Science Award and Senior with Highest Honors Award Travis Zimmerman: Senior with Highest Honors Award " These students are to be congratulated for their accomplishments. The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers top- notch educational opportunities which combine traditions of excellence with the latest technologies.
