The ceremony is held each spring to recognize SDSM& T students, faculty, staff members, and community leaders for their outstanding work and support of the university. University President Richard J. Gowen presented Schaefer with the award. " Steven Schaefer is to be congratulated on receiving these honors. The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology offers top- notch educational opportunities which combine traditions of excellence with the latest technologies.
