St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ( January 5, 1998) SDSM& T STUDENTS FROM OMAHA INITIATED INTO NATIONAL ORDER OF OMEGA Jenny and Jamie Mathison of Omaha were recently inducted into SDSM& T's Xi Tau Chapter of the National Order of Omega, which is the highest fraternity and sorority honor on the SDSM& T and many other campuses. They are both members of the Alpha Omega Epsilon sorority at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and are the daughters of Joyce Mathison of Omaha. Jenny is a senior Geology major. Her campus activities include Society of Women Engineers; Society of Petroleum Engineers; Tech Geological Association; Friday Afternoon Geology Department Seminars; Alpha Omega Epsilon President, Treasurer and Risk Management/ Alcohol Awareness Committee; Highway Cleanup; Magic School Bus Halloween Party Volunteer; Storybook Island Cleanup; Big Brother/ Big Sister Bowl- a- thon; and Half Gallon Blood Donor. Jamie is a junior Metallurgical Engineering major. Her activities at South Dakota Tech include Golden Z Treasurer and Vice President; Society of Women Engineers Corporate Relations Committee; Alpha Omega Epsilon; IntraFraterity Council Treasurer and Care Package Committee; Civil Center Halloween Party Volunteer; Highway Cleanups; and Girls, Inc.
