Theresa Rich, daughter of Chris and Mike Rich, has been named to the Dean's List of the College of Arts and Sciences at American University in Washington, D.C. Rich, a 1999 Brandon Valley High School graduate, has also been named director of public relations for the Delta Gamma Sorority, and she will continue her internship at Senator Tom Daschle's office in the upcoming semester. Mount Marty College, Yankton Three graduate students from Brandon have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2000 semester at Mount Marty College in Yankton. Melissa Rademacher earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the term. Ryan Frost and Christopher Miller achieved at least a 3.65 grade point average. Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa Two local students were among nearly 4, 000 Iowa State University students who were named to the 2000 spring semester Dean's List. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to be eligible. Nicholas Mostek's major is physics. Keith Watson Thompson's major is architecture-professional degree. Claremont McKenna College, Claremont, Calif. Brian Rossing of Sioux Falls has been named to the Claremont McKenna College, Claremont, Calif., Distinguished Scholars List for the Spring 2000 semester. A sophomore and a philosophy, politics and economics major, Rossing is a graduate of Brandon Valley High School. Only students who maintain an A- average or better are named to the Distinguished Scholars List. Rossing is the son of Ann Marie and David Rossing of Sioux Falls. Black Hills State University, Spearfish Patrick Weber of Renner was among 483 students who were named to the dean's list at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Students must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 to be eligible for the list. North Dakota State University, Fargo, N.D. Three area students are among 1, 853 who have been placed on the Spring 2000 Dean's List at North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D. Corey McMillion maintained a 4.0 grade point average for the term. His major is interior design. Jared Dyer, construction management, and his wife, Kristel Dyer, apparel and textiles, maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average. St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn. Three Sioux Falls students have been named to the spring semester Dean's List at St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn. They are Kendell Bauer, Jennifer Matson and Amy Nielsen. Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn. Four Sioux Falls students have been named to the Spring Semester Dean's List at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. They are Brian Smith, Joshua Schenck, Kathryn Fraser and Rebecca Knudsen. Students who have earned a 3.7 grade point average or higher are eligible for the list. South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Rapid City Jennifer Buxton and Patrick Deering of Brandon were named to the Dean's List at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City for the 2000 spring semester. Buxton is a sophomore industrial engineering major, and Deering is a junior civil and environmental engineering major. To qualify for the SDSM&T Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher for the semester and carry nine or more credit hours. Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minn. Julie Funk of Brandon has been named to the High Honor list at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn. Funk, a sophomore, was among 623 students who maintained a 4.0 grade point average for the term. Lehign University, Bethlehem, Penn. Robert George of Sioux Falls was among 983 students who have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2000 semester at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn. Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell Jill Meeker of Valley Springs has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell. To qualify for the dean's list, students must have a semester grade point average of at least 3.5. University of South Dakota, Vermillion Three Brandon students are among 680 who have been named to the spring semester dean's list at The University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Kristine Lingen was among 90 students named to the pre-business list in the School of Business; Teresa Plumbtree was one of 93 named to the School of Business list; and Brian McMartin was named in the School of Education. |
