TranscriptSEP 19 1996 Brandon Valley Challenger Royalty finalist Sara Swenson Sara Swenson, a junior at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, was among five women from the school nominated for Homecoming Queen. Five men were nominated for Homecoming King as well, and the campus will vote on Wednesday, Sept. 18 to choose its 1996 Homecoming Royalty. Homecoming week, or M-Week as it is traditionally called at the School of Mines, officially started Sunday Sept. 15 with a senior/freshman picnic at 1 p.m.. Concluding the festivities is the M-Week dance at the Howard Johnson Motor Hotel Saturday at 9p.m. The King and Queen will be officially crowned on Thursday, Sept. 19, at coronation. Sara is the daughter of Richard and Deanna Swenson. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences. Others nominated for the Homecoming court were: Joie Archer, Gettysburg; Eric Broughton, Canton; Seth Feyereisen, Gregory; Jose' Iguaz, Zaragoza Spain; Kurt Leibel, Timberlake/Glencross; Jessica Nielson, Bowman, N.D.; Keith Plavec, Yankton; Tiffany Snyder, Rapid City; and Cheyenne vig, Mud Butte.
