School of Mines Enrollment Remains Stable Total Fall 2005 enrollment at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology remains nearly identical to Fall 2004 enrollment figures. School of Mines Named One of America's 100 Best College Buys The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has been named one of America's 100 Best College Buys for the eighth consecutive year. The School of Mines is one of only two colleges or universities in South Dakota to make the list. School of Mines Projects to Receive $16 Million in Defense Spending U.S. Senators Tim Johnson and John Thune announced that the Fiscal 2006 Defense Appropriations bill that passed today included $16 million in funding for the School of Mines to fund research projects designed to improve our nation's military. September R&D Funding More Than $2 Million School of Mines researchers and professors received more than $2 million in research and development funding during September 2005. School of Mines and Partners Propose 2010 Project The School of Mines, the City of Rapid City and the Rapid City Area School District have proposed a 2012 project under the program Civic Improvements component to install high-quality, state-of-the-art artificial turf in O'Harra Stadium in order to further enhance the athletic facility.
