| Transcript | May 11, 2005 2005 WEST RIVER MATH CONTEST RESULTS The 55th annual West River Math Contest was held on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology campus Monday, May 9. Approximately 500 students participated, representing 28 different schools. The results are listed below. In each division, prizes are awarded for first through fifth place in classes A and B. An overall winner in each division also was determined. (The asterisk by a name indicates that person was the overall winner in the division.) In addition, two awards were given in each class to schools that had the best team performance. The awards for outstanding team performance went to St. Thomas More in class B and Hot Springs in Class A. The Ralph Doutt awards for best team performance went to Rapid City Christian in class B and Rapid City Stevens in class A. DIVISION: ALGEBRA I CLASS A 1. *Ben Nelson, Sturgis 2.
