TranscriptSouth Dakota Tech News 501 E. Saint Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701-3995 Phone: (605) 394-6082/2554 Fax: (605) 394-6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 24, 2005 Contact: Steve Buchholz, Public Information Manager, 394-6082 Tom Rudebusch, Sports Information Director, 394-2601 South Dakota Tech Statement Concerning February 18, 2005 Our first concern is for the well-being of Korey Kirschenmann and his family. We also recognize that this is a difficult time for Valley City State and its basketball program. The Pennington County State's Attorney's Office is handling the investigation. We trust that the legal system will handle the case properly. Because of the ongoing legal investigation, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is not in a position to release any further statements, comments, or information concerning the incident at the February 18, 2005, men's basketball game with Valley City State University. #30#
