Membership is a nationally recognized and accepted honor. It affords the opportunity to learn and practice teamwork and leadership, leading and working on projects to enhance your school's ECE Department, your college, your community, and youngsters in your local community schools. Many leaders at all levels of industry, academia, and government are members. They know and appreciate the quality of members of HKN, and recognize that HKN has pre-selected these quality people and afforded them the opportunity for character, teamwork, and leadership development, and they know what members can contribute to their organization. Unlike some other organizations, Eta Kappa Nu membership fee is "one-time" for your lifetime! This fee covers the national Headquarters' costs for registration and operation of the Headquarters activities to support you for a lifetime, a Certificate of membership, and a 3 year subscription to HKN's national magazine, "The Bridge"; plus any local College Chapter fee to cover their operating expenses. There are no further required fees for life, unless you choose to continue your subscription to the Bridge magazine ($15 for 3 years, $60 for a lifetime subscription), or choose to make tax-deductible gifts to HKN during your career. 1.
