Saint Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701-3995 Phone: (605) 394-6082/2554 Fax: (605) 394-6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 5, 2004 Contact: Steve Buchholz, Public Information Manager, 394-6082 Bender Wins EXEMPTlary Service Award Vickie Bender, Associate Director of Information Services at South Dakota Tech, has been selected by the Exempt Employees Council as recipient of the October 2004 EXEMPTlary Service Award. This award recognizes exempt employees who help Tech fulfill its mission and statement of purposes. Bender's nominators said, "Students are the fabric of this institution. Vickie is very knowledgeable, but perhaps her greatest asset is her ability to complete seemingly daunting tasks in a relatively short amount of time. She has been instrumental in getting online voting done, voter registration and other things to help the Student Activities Office. Vickie (and her staff) are phenomenal. She often goes the extra mile to ensure that Residence Life web information/forms are above par, and her ability to walk through the process with us makes a huge difference in how things operate." #30#
