Approximately 260 students were candidates for degrees during Tech's 149th commencement. Dr. Paul MacCready, an inventor, entrepreneur and visionary in the area of environmentally friendly vehicles, delivered the commencement address. Nick Newell of Havre, Mont., gave the senior class message. Tech awarded its March Medal to alumnus Grove Rathbun.
