In the design event, the contestants present their design strategy and demonstrate the accuracy of their calculations in predicting the maximum payload the aircraft can lift. The flight event determines which aircraft can lift the most weight. The competition limits the wingspan of each aircraft, and requires each aircraft to take off and land within a limited distance. #30#
