Individual students and teams competed in the categories of biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics. In Division I Schools ( those with 500 or more students), Rapid City Stevens High School won the traveling team trophy in all three categories of competition -- biology, chemistry, and physics. There was no Division I team competition in earth science this year because only one team was entered. This is the fourth straight year Stevens has won the chemistry trophy. Stevens also qualified to keep the traveling physics trophy permanently, because this is the third year in a row the school has won that category. In Division II Schools ( less than 500 students), St. Thomas More took home the traveling team trophy in biology, chemistry, and physics. Newell captured the traveling team trophy in earth science. The individual and team winners in the respective categories for Division I and II are as follows: DIVISION I ( 500 or more students): Biology Name High School Teacher 1st Place: Scott Wallace Douglas Joseph Hall 2nd Place: Michael Newton Douglas Joseph Hall 3rd Place: Patrick Rich Stevens Kerry Beyer Chemistry Name High School Teacher 1st Place: Megan Iverson Stevens Roberta Gaines 2nd Place: Kendra Kingsbury Stevens Roberta Gaines 3rd Place: Sarah Schaefer Stevens Roberta Gaines Earth Science Name High School Teacher 1st Place: Carl Lesback Stevens James Ghents 2nd Place: Michael C.
