Fossen is majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tech, a science and technology university in Rapid City, S.D. The Honors Convocation is held to present awards to students, faculty and friends of Tech in recognition of their outstanding service and academic achievements. More than 100 awards were given to students, faculty, and friends. The award categories included Academic Achievement; Leadership Awards, Departmental Awards, Seniors Graduating in 2000 With Highest Honors, Departmental Awards, Frank and Marilyn Richardson Scholars, Mines Award For Outstanding Public Service, Mines Award For Outstanding Teaching, Benard A.
