TranscriptTau Beta Pi Initiation On Friday, Oct. 31, the South Dakota Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi initiated 38 new members. Tau Beta Pi is a National Engineering Honor Society which was founded in 1885. The Alpha Chapter of SDSM& T was organized in 1974. Since then 1, 024 members have been initiated. To be eligible, you must be an engineering major and in the top fifth of the senior class or the top eighth of the junior class.
