TranscriptThe A.O. Duer Award is presented annually to a junior men's and women's student-athlete in any sport who has excelled in character, playing ability and scholarship. Since 1967, the Duer Award has been presented in honor of the late former NAIA executive director Al Duer who was responsible for the NAIA's role as the first collegiate organization to be fully integrated. The Emil S. Liston Award is presented annually by Daktronics recognizes a male and female junior basketball player based on scholarship, character and playing ability. Since 1950, the award honors the memory of the NAIA's first executive director Emil S. Liston. Mr. Liston was the founder of the National Association of Intercollegiate Basketball (NAIB) and played a principal role in the NAIA men's basketball tournament
