St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 Fax: ( 605) 394- 3388 SDSM& T HOSTS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CONFERENCE The 1997 Technical Assistance Program ( TAP) Annual Conference was held on April 9th on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology ( SDSM& T) campus. The conference was sponsored by SDSM& T and the South Dakota Technology Reinvestment Program ( SDTRP). SDTRP is a cooperative effort among NASA, the Governor's Office of Economic Development, and the six state- sponsored universities. TAP is SDSM& T's effort to utilize the resources of faculty, staff, students, and facilities to provide focused technical assistance. This year's TAP conference offered sessions by company participants and university faculty and staff on the following topics: International Business Opportunities Moderator: Dr. Srinivasa Iyer - SDSM& T Entrepreneurship: Is It Right for You? Moderator: Mr. Andrew Thompson - SDSM& T South Dakota SBIR Winners Moderator: Dr. Mel Ustad - Dakota State University Patents, Trademarks, and Copyright Moderator: Mr. Gene Lebrun - Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun South Dakota companies and service providers had displays at the conference throughout the day.
