| Transcript | Former Broncs������� gridder signs on with Hardrockers By Brad Blume Sports Information Director South Dakota School of Mines RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology along with Hardrocker head football coach Dan Kratzer are very please to announce to addition of Clint Kling to the Hardrocker football program. Kling is somewhat of a local talent, playing football for the Belle Fourche Broncs until 2006 when he graduated and then spent a year playing football at Sierra Community College in California. Kling comes into the Hardrocker program as 6-foot-3-inch, 265 pound sophomore that has exceptional skills on the offensive and defensive lines. He will primarily be on the D-line while at SDSM&T. "Clint was an outstanding lineman, both offensively and defensively for Sierra College, " said Kratzer. "He could come in at center and start right away for us but with our (defense) we feel he is capable of playing at the nose tackle position." South Dakota School of Mines head football coach Dan Kratzer (left) welcomes new recruit Clint Kling of Belle Fourche to the Hardrocker program recently on Dunham Field at O'Harra Stadium in Rapid City. Kling comes to the ‘Rockers as a defensive lineman and should contribute right away at the start of the 2008 season. Photo by Brad Blume Kline helped the Sierra Wolverines to a successful 9-2 overall record. His team had an undefeated 5-0 conference record and Sierra was crowned the Valley Conference champions and had the second best record in Northern California. "Clint is a young man that can help us right away on either side of the football, " Kratzer added. While attending South Dakota School of Mines, Kline plans to major in Mining Engineering. |
