| Transcript | By Brad Blume Sports Information Director South Dakota School of Mines RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines cross country and track teams along with head coach Jerry Schafer are pleased to announce the signing of the first recruit for the 2008-09 season. Eben Nordahl of Molt, Mont., has signed a letter of intent to be part of the Hardrocker cross country team this coming fall and then compete for the SDM indoor and outdoor track team next spring. "We are looking forward to Eb joining our program in the fall, " Schafer said. "His ability and competitiveness will be a great addition to the ‘Rocker cross country and track and field teams." This past fall Nordahl competed for the Rapelje High School Renegade cross country squad and capped off the season by finishing fourth individually in the Montana Class C State Meet.
