V-Day SOUTH DAKOTA TECH 2003 is a benefit production of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" as part of the V-Day College Campaign THREE PERFORMANCES ONLY! at the Surbeck Student Center Ballroom on January 31, 2003 at 7:00 pm and February 1, 2003 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm Who: V-Day Warriors, an SDSM&T Student Organization What: V-Day South Dakota Tech 2003, a benefit production of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" Where: Surbeck Student Center Ballroom When: January 31, 2003 at 7:00 pm and February 1, 2003 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm Admission: $10 in advance, $12 at the door, $3 for SDSM&T students Contact: Student Activities and Leadership Center, 394-2336 Goal: To raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls and funds for our beneficiaries Ohitka Najin Win Oti (Standing Strong Woman House), a shelter for Native American women and their children. of "The Vagina Monologues, " a series of sketches that, with their frank portrayals of women's feelings about their vaginas What is V-Day? V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a palpable energy, a fierce catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop worldwide violence against women and girls including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sexual slavery. V-Day provides funding to create and nurture innovative programs to stop the violence. For more information, please visit www.vday.org. Please note: This performance includes mature subject matter and may not be suitable for young audiences. The V-Day College Campaign invites members of college and university communities around the world to present benefit productions of "The Vagina Monologues" on their campuses on or around V-Day (February 14th) to raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls. The proceeds from these events are donated directly by the schools to local organizations in their communities that are working to stop this violence. One of the goals of the College Campaign is to empower young people the leaders, shapers and messengers of the future.
