St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701-3995 Phone: (605) 394-6082/2554 Fax: (605) 394-6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 11, 2002 Contact: Steve Buchholz, Public Information Manager, 394-6082 Murder Me, Murder Me Not The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Drama Club raises the curtain Thursday, Nov. 14, on a wacky mystery-comedy called Murder Me, Murder Me Not by Bill Springer. This two-act play has more plot twists and turns than a hyperactive pretzel, according to Drama Club advisor Bob Faubert. The plot involves a murder investigation in which we find that all is not as it seems. Father Bentley arrives to console the grieving widow, or does he? Inspector Feydeau wants to see what really happened, or so he says. Ambrose Brinks, another investigator, shows up. But, why two investigators? Neighbor Mary Ellen Rodgers spends an unusual amount of time with Father Bentley. Why is that? And, what is the maid up to? Tech students will perform the three shows, all scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Surbeck Student Center Ballroom. Admission is free to Tech students with an ID card, and $5 for everyone else. Proceeds benefit the Drama Club. The cast includes both veteran actors and newcomers. They include Stardust Red Bow and Gena Engel as Mary Ellen Rodgers, Brittany Douglas and Amanda Bumann as Alice, Justin Betz as Father Bentley, Amanda Masteller as Geraldine Gaston, Nick Vosberg and Matt Colvin as Inspector Feydeau, and Neal Hungerford and Kurt Hungerford as Ambrose Brinks. Bob Faubert will direct, and Krista Masteller will serve as assistant director. The technical crew includes Damon Larson, Leo Buzalsky, Dave Brandt and Jake Colvin. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, contact Bob Faubert at Robert.Faubert@sdsmt.edu or Krista Masteller at sdcrackers@hotmail.com. #30#
