St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ( July 18, 1997) SDSM& T SKILL PROGRAMS FOR 4TH, 5TH, AND 6TH GRADERS TO BE OFFERED AUGUST 4- 8 The Scientific Knowledge for Learning and Leadership ( SKILL) program at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is sponsoring a free educational program August 4- 8 for students entering the fourth, fifth or sixth grade this fall. The programs will run from 9: 00 a. m. to 3: 00 p. m. each day. Students will have a chance to study the Badlands, plant trees, work on computers, and take part in science contests. Students can attend one day or as many programs during the week as they would like. Students will need to bring their own lunch for the days they attend.
