"Donovan's Reef" was John Wayne's last film with mentor and long-time collaborator John Ford. The 1963 comedy is about a group of war veterans settled on a South Pacific island. When the daughter of one of them comes for a visit, the freewheeling status quo between the boys is disrupted. This film is the last of 10 classic films in the eighth annual Nostalgia Night Film Series. Tickets are available for $4.50 at the door the evening of the film. This year's theme, "See the World Upon the Silver Screen, " takes movie fans on a tour of the world via the giant screen. #30# |
