"The opening was a huge success, " Julie Smoragiewicz, vice president for University Relations at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, said. "It's great to be open again and giving children and people of all ages the chance to learn about science and have fun at the same time." Opening day visitors watched a live puppet show, listened to a presentation about the exhibit, "Earth as Art, " and used the Center's two newest attractions, the Buffalo Reading Room and the indoor tree house. The Center is open from 9 a.m. to noon every Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon the first Saturday of every month. See a complete list of activities at www.hpcnet.org/sdsmt/csc.
