Saturday, Feb. 23, at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. The Tech ACM ( Association For Computer Machinery) Club will give the students problems to solve. The students will write a computer program to figure out each problem. Students will bring their own computers so they can use machines they are comfortable with. " We're doing this to show high school students that the programming they are learning is important, and to challenge them to try bigger things if they want to go into computer programming as a career, " ACM member Tim Jacobson said. Jacobson, of Rapid City, is pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science at Tech. The competition will be held in room 342 of the Electrical Engineering/ Physics Building on Tech's campus. # 30#
