The group calls itself Pi Squared, short for " Plug Into Positive Influence." The group aims to " foster a student- centered campus through positive interaction between students, faculty, and staff to generate a sense of belonging and pride at our university and in our community." Pi Squared will hand out heart- shaped cookies at 8: 45 a. m., 9: 45 a. m., 10: 45 a. m. and 11: 45 a. m. in the Quad on campus. It will be the sixth random act of kindness the group has committed since its founding last year " We are here for the students, and this is one way we can show them we appreciate that they chose to come to Tech, " group spokesperson Tiffany Smith said.
