Friday, Nov. 30, at the Apex Gallery on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology campus. The exhibit, " Landscape and Abstraction, " begins Friday. The exhibit highlights artists who are inspired by landscape as they explore abstraction, whose abstractions can be viewed as landscapes, or who use abstract elements in conjunction with landscape and natural elements. Luckhart and Dubroy are two of the six artists represented in the exhibition. Luckhart is a former South Dakota Tech professor and Apex Gallery director. Dubroy is a local artist who rarely shows her work in the Black Hills area. The gallery is open from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. Sunday. The gallery is closed school holidays. PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Apex Gallery Director Deborah Mitchell will install the Landscape and Abstraction exhibit between 9 a. m. and 3 p. m.
