Brian is a Mechanical Engineering major at South Dakota Tech in Rapid City. The South Dakota Tech Circle K chapter participated in a playground building project that was dedicated this year in Hill City, S. D. The playground cost Hill City a little more than $ 7, 000, but was valued and insured at more than $ 70, 000. It also required more than 900 hours of work from planning through completion. The project was submitted to the International Single Service Award program. The program is designed to recognize and honor clubs that demonstrate dedication and unselfish efforts. The first place award went to a Circle K project that funded a hospital in the Philippines. The second place award was given to the club that built a library in New Jersey.
