The presidents decided to continue with all originally scheduled athletic events. " It was a difficult decision, as our thoughts and payers continue to be with everyone involved in the tragedy of last Tuesday, " said Tech President Dr. Richard Gowen. " The decision to continue the sports events of this weekend reflects the recognition of the need to balance our feelings of grief with the need to begin the process of rebuilding for our future." Tech plays Jamestown at 1: 00 p. m. Saturday at O'Harra Stadium, and is planning to conduct a minute of silence for individual prayer and reflection. # 30# |
