Anez is a Physics major at Tech. The Honors Convocation is held to present awards to students, faculty, and friends of SDSM& T in recognition of their outstanding service and academic achievements. A total of 115 awards were given to students, faculty, and friends. The award categories included Academic Achievement; Leadership Awards, Departmental Awards, Seniors Graduating in 2000 With Highest Honors, Departmental Awards, Frank and Marilyn Richardson Scholars, Mines Award For Outstanding Public Service, Mines Award For Outstanding Teaching, Benard A. Ennenga Award, Virginia Simpson Award, and a Presidential Award For Outstanding Professor. ++ 30++ ( I: univrel/ pressrel/ 0700 )
