Pioneer Local Students Receive Awards The following students from Bowman, ND received awards during the 52nd Annual Honors Convocation held recently at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, a science and technology university in Rapid City, SD. Georgia Knauss, Geology, Geology and Geological Engineering J.A. Redden Award and the Graduating Senior with Highest Honors Award. Andrew Fisher, Industrial Engineering, Junior Engineering Academic Achievements Award. The Honors Convocation is held to present awards to students, faculty and friends of Tech in recognition of their outstanding service and academic achievements. More than 100 awards were given to students, faculty, and friends. The award categories included Academic Achievement, Leadership Awards, Departmental Awards, Seniors Graduating in 2003 With Highest Honors, Departmental Awards, Frank and Marilyn Richardson Scholars, Mines Award For Outstanding Public Service, Mines Award For Outstanding Teaching, Benard A. Ennenga Award, Virginia Simpson Award, L. Richard Kitchen Award, and a Presidential Award For Outstanding Professor.
