Pioneer Hinrichs nominated to compete in scholarships program In last week's paper, Kevin Hinrichs background was inadvertently left out. We are sorry for the confusion. Kevin Hinrichs and Jill Kubista have been nominated to compete in the National Honor Society Scholarship Program, sponsored by the National Association of Secondary Principals. This scholarship provides 250 scholarship awards of $1000 to seniors in National Honor Society throughout the nation. Kevin is the son of Darwin and Marie Hinrichs of Bowman. Kevin is the 1997 Student Council President and has been active in speech, track, football, basketball, and the annual staff. Kevin plans on pursuing a degree in computer science or computer engineering and is considering the following schools: South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Colorado School of Mines, SDSU, NDSU, and the University of Houston. |
