St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 29, 2001 LOCAL STUDENTS NAMED TO DEAN'S LIST AT SOUTH DAKOTA SCHOOL OF MINES & TECHNOLOGY Eight students from Sturgis were named to the Dean's List at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology ( SDSM& T) for the 2000 fall semester. The students were junior Andrew Baker, civil and environmental engineering; sophomore Brian Glover, electrical engineering; junior Lori Glover, chemistry; senior Chad Griswold, materials and metallurgical engineering; freshman Samantha Jamieson, interdisciplinary sciences; freshman Lance LaLonde, interdisciplinary sciences; sophomore Jennifer Marler, interdisciplinary sciences; and freshman Jeramiah Risinger, computer science. One student from Fort Meade, freshman Brett Bares, chemistry, was also named to the Dean's List. A total of 433 students qualified for the Dean���s List. To qualify for the SDSM& T Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a Grade Point Average of 3.40 or higher for the semester; carry nine or more credit hours; and not have any " F" or " Incomplete" grades. ++ 30++ ( I: univrel/ pressrel/ 2001 01/ 29/ Dean's List) |
