Eight local and national presenters from the concrete industry will speak throughout the day on " Testing Concrete… Before, During, and After Construction." Discussion topics will include lab certification, properly specified lab tests, extended mix- time concrete, common mistakes and new developments, and much more. Presentors are Dr. John M. Hanson, Chaired Professor, Department of Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University; James P. Murphy, Vice President of Consolidated Engineers & Materials Testing, Inc. in Gillette, Wyoming; David Henson, Director of Engineering Services for Master Builders, Inc.; Corey L. Haeder, graduate student at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology; Brian C. Anderson, MSCE and B, S & G Fellowship recipient; Edward F. Duke, Director of the Engineering and Mining Experiment Station ( EMES) and Research Professor, Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology; James A. Farny, concrete technologist at Portland Cement Association; Mauro Scali, senior research petrographer with Construction Products Division of W. R. Grace Co. Early registration fee is $ 75.00, students and retirees pay only $ 10.00. Fee includes program and lunch. Continuing Education available upon completion of the program.
