All events are open to the public. Admission is $ 3. Children under age 2 are admitted free. School group admission is $ 2 for each person with one free adult admission for every 10 children. Admission is free for members of the museum or of another museum that belongs to the Association of Science and Technology Centers. - Saturday, November 18: Parrots as Pets... Are they a good choice?, 11: 15 a. m. Melissa Horton of Wildlife Experiences. will bring live parrots for a presentation on their abilities and intelligence demonstrated by mimicry and other behaviors. Topics covered will include why parrots don't make good pets and how they are adapted for life in the jungle. The program will include a brief slide presentation showing many parrot, where they live and how they must be maintained in captivity. Free with admission. - Saturday, Nov. 18: Animal Antics, 10: 30 a. m. Live animal program. Free with admission. |
