October 20- 22, 2000 Tech Family Weekend: ~ Friday, October 20 Dinner and Variety show 6- 9 pm. ~ Saturday, October 21 Mini University ( a sampling of college classes) 9- 10: 45 am; State of the University Address by President Gowen, 11- noon. ~ Sunday, October 22 Non- denominational worship service 10: 30- 11: 30 am. Women's Volleyball @ BHSU October 21, 2000 Red Ribbon Reception ( for Community Red Ribbon Parade participants) with hot dogs and chips donated from Dining Services and drinks donated from Coca- Cola. Following the parade. Football vs. BHSU 1pm Cross Country meet @ Mt. Marty Invitational October 22- 26, 2000 2nd Annual J. P. Connolly Games ( all events begin in the main lounge of Connolly Hall): ~ Sunday, October 22 miniature golf in Connolly Hall, judging of course design is at 6 pm and the competition begins at 6: 30. ~ Tuesday, October 24 unique hair contest and ramen noodle eating contest at 6: 30 pm, trivial pursuit contest at 7 pm. ~ Wednesday, October 25 hallway relay at 7 pm. ~ Thursday, October 26 attending the BHSU vs. Tech volleyball game, possible " super fan" contest. October 26, 2000 Women's Volleyball vs. BHSU 7pm October 28, 2000 Football vs. Valley City State 1pm October 29, 2000 Diwali ( India Festival of Lights) at 5: 30 pm in the Surbeck Ballroom. There will also be Indian food and traditional India dances. Sponsored by the India Club. Children's Science Center Calendar of Events: Open Tuesday Friday 9: 00am 5: 00pm, Saturday 10: 00am 4: 00pm October 21, 2000 " Raptors of South Dakota." Melissa Horton of Wildlife Experiences will bring her live birds of prey for a presentation on the natural history and life of raptors, as well as the sport of falconry. The program will include a brief slide show illustrating birds of prey. The program is free with admission to the Science Center.
