| Transcript | Isabel Dakotan OBIJUABV Timothy W. Dreis 1960 - 2001 Funeral services for Timothy W. Dreis, 41, of Tucson, AZ and formerly of rural Meadow, SD were held Monday, Dec. 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Lutheran Church, rural Meadow. Rev.RogerDieterle officiated and interment was in Gallaway Cemetery, Meadow with Evanson Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon in charge of arrangements. Special music was provided by Carol Nelson, organist and Les Lensegrav, vocalist. Casketbearers were Tracy Wolff, John Buer, Doug Dietterle, Arlen Hatle, Dan Ander-son, Ralph Lyon, James Rosenau and Fred Gebhart. A memorial has been established. Family services were held at the church on Sun., Dec. 30th at 4:00 p.m. Visitations was for one hour prior to services at the church. Tim passed away suddenly late the evening of Dec. 24th at the home of his family, rural Meadow of an apparent heart attack. Timothy Wayne Dreis was born on June 13, 1960 at Lemmon, SD to John R. and Delia S. (Kopren) Dreis. He grew up on the family ranch in the Glad Valley community of rural Ziebach Co. He attended the Butte View and Progress rural schools and graduated from Lemmon High School with the class of 1978. Tim loved basketball in spite of his handicap of loosing an arm at the age of nine in a farm accident. He participated in the F.F.A. program while in high school and worked with his family on the ranch. He attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, graduating with honors in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Shortly thereafter he began his career with Hughes Aircraft/General Dynamics/Raytheon Corporation inTuc-son, working in various missile systems. He enjoyed travelling, especially to Europe in earlier years of his career, camping with his friends and working on his computer. He was a member of Indian Creek Lutheran Church, rural Meadow. Tim enjoyed his twice-yearly trips home to the ranch to spend time with his family, especially his nephews and nieces. He had returned home for the Holidays a few days before his sudden passing. Tim will be fondly remembered as a happy, joyful fellow who enjoyed laughing and visiting with friends and family. Grateful for sharing his life are his parents, John and Delia Dreis of rural Meadow; sister and brother in law, Janet M. and Bill Bohn of Faulkton, SD; brother and sister in law; Marc and Dagmar Dreis of rural Meadow, two nephews, four nieces and special friends; Larry and Melanie Lennington and godson, Jeremy Lennington of Tucson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. |
