TranscriptIpswich Tribune Percy G. Crisp Percy G. Crisp, 80, formerly of Ipswich, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Manor Care, Urbana, 111. There was no funeral service. Interment of ashes was held at a later date in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis. Percy Crisp was born May 1, 1921 in Ipswich to Jesse and Eliza (Beckwith) Crisp. He graduated from Leola High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1939 to July 1945. He married Evelyn Weber on Jan. 26, 1946 in Madison. Mr. Crisp received a bachelor's of science degree in general engineering in 1950 from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He was employed for 26 years as an engineer at Barber-Colman Co. in Rockford and Detroit, retiring in 1983. He was a Urbana resident since April 1995. He was a member of the Retired Men's Club and Parkinson Support Group in Rockford. Survivors include daughters, Marcia Crisp of Macomb, 111. and Barbara Schuler of Urbana; four grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Alldritt of Wakonda, Dorothy Erdmann of Aberdeen and Beulah McGinn of Carl Junction, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
