Gowen, recently was re- elected as the Board of Regents Career Service employees representative to the Governor's Personnel Management Advisory Board. The Board consists of 13 members-- 6 elected ( 5 from other state agencies; 1 from the Board of Regents), 6 appointed members from state agencies at large, and Bureau of Personnel representative Sandy Zinter. The Board studies personnel issues of importance to state employees and makes recommendations that are presented personally to the Governor each year.
