Scheele is a civil engineering major at SDSM& T. Scheele is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers ( ASCE) and SDSM& T's judiciary board, as well as scholastic chairman of public relations for Triangle fraternity. He is also president and senior senator of the Student Association ( SA), the organization sponsoring his court nomination.
