St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 5, 2000 LOCAL STUDENT INDUCTED INTO ORDER OF OMEGA AT SDSM& T Aaron Buchholz of Philip was recently inducted into the Order of Omega at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. Buchholz is a junior civil and environmental engineering major at Tech and member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. The Order of Omega is a national Greek honorary society. It was founded in 1959 upon the belief that individuals in the Greek community should be recognized for their service to the fraternity system and to the University. The purpose of the Order of Omega is to recognize fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership, to foster continued leadership among its members, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment. Selection to the honorary society is based on application, grade point average, and is limited to the top 3% of the Greek community who are juniors or above. ++ 30++ ( I: univrel/ pressrel/ 0100 Order of Omega local Philip) |
