St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 10, 1999 NSU GRADUATE ACCEPTS POSITION AT SDSM& T Maureen Wilson, a 1992 graduate of Northern State University, was recently appointed as Assistant Director, Residence Life for Services and Residence Hall Director for Connolly Hall, at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T) in Rapid City. Wilson earned a BA in Earth Science from NSU and an MA in Communication from Eastern New Mexico University. In her new position Wilson will be working with all resident assistants on campus to ensure they are prepared in their paraprofessional position of helping students succeed at SDSM& T. She will be responsible for advising the all hall government, various student task forces, coordinating the resident assistant selection process and coordinating the judicial/ discipline system for residence hall students. She will also oversee the facility and residents of Connolly Hall – 120 men and 20 women. Wilson comes to Tech from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she worked as Residence Life Coordinator. Her experience includes positions as Director of Residence Life at Midway College, Midway, Kentucky; and additional residence life positions at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado, Black Hills State University, Eastern New Mexico University, and NSU. The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology has established a world- wide reputation as an outstanding engineering and science institution.
