St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 14, 1999 LOCAL STUDENT RECIPIENT OF SCHOLARSHIP AT SDSM& T Justine High Elk of Dupree, granddaughter of Wesley and Imogene High Elk and daughter of Raylene High Elk, was recently awarded a scholarship at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T). Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kruse, of Minneapolis/ St. Paul, have concurred with the School of Mines scholarship committee's recommendation to fund a scholarship for High Elk. Justine High Elk is a sophomore, civil and environmental engineering major at Tech. She is an active member of the Alpha Omega Epsilon Sorority, and of AISES the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
