St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ( April 8, 1999) SDSM& T TO PARTICIPATE IN KIDS FAIR APRIL 9- 11 AT RUSHMORE PLAZA CIVIC CENTER The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T) is going to participate in this year's Kids Fair at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Kids Fair is a signature event of Youth & Family Services ( YFS) to support the programs of Girls Incorporated of Rapid City ( formerly Girls Club of Rapid City), YFS Child Care, YFS Counseling Center and YFS Nutrition. This year's Kids Fair is designed to provide an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to display and market their child oriented products and/ or services in a positive environment, increase community awareness, and provide financial support for Youth & Family Services. SDSM& T will host four booths at the Kids Fair with activities to include a simulated fossil dig; dinosaur tattoos; and other hands- on science activities. Little Miner's Clubhouse will be present with information about their new Summer Science Program and day care programs ranging from infant to kindergarten care.
