Mollman as the 1999 SDSM& T Outstanding Recent Graduate in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Mollman, who was born in Deadwood and graduated from Lead High School, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from SDSM& T in 1988. After graduation, she accepted an entry- level position with Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City, MO and since has advanced to the position of Civil Engineering Department Manager/ Project Manager. Mollman specializes in pavement and airfield pavement design. The several professional awards she has received include the NASA- Edwards Air Force Base Award for Outstanding Service and Support and the Missouri Young Engineer of the Month. She has published papers and is actively involved in and has served as officer in several professional society organizations. Her civic activities include Habitat for Humanity and Girls to Women. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri, Illinois, Nevada, South Carolina, Georgia and Maryland. Her parents, Roberta and Wallace Mollman, live in Whitewood. Mollman and alumni in four other engineering fields were honored as Outstanding Recent Graduates during a recent Engineers Week luncheon held on the South Dakota Tech campus.
