Tuesday, Feb. 16: United Campus Ministry Forum: " Doctors Can Be Angels Too: A Venezuelan Venture" Speaker: Dr. Bryan Den Hartog, Orthopedic Surgeon 12: 00 noon, Surbeck Student Center Bump Lounge ( lunch available at 11: 30 am) SDSM& T Movie Night: " Waterboy" 9: 20 pm, Elks Theatre SDSM& T student tickets are sponsored by TONITE, SDSM& T's student programming board. Thursday, Feb. 18: Presentation of Career Service Jeans Days Check to Youth & Family Services 10: 00 am, Surbeck Center Bump Lounge West SDSM& T's Career Service Council will present a check to Youth & Family Services officials from monies collected during the 1998 Career Service Jeans Days held monthly on campus. March of Dimes Babies and You Seminar: " Prenatal Care" Speaker: Deb Kuehn, CNP 7: 00 8: 00 pm, Didier Education Center ( CB 204W) This is the second of a 13- week series of free seminars. No advance registration required. Friday, Feb. 19: Cardboard Bridge Strength Testing 2: 15 pm, Civil/ Mechanical Engineering Bldg., Room 210 SDSM& T students, technicians and faculty will test the maximum load of the cardboard bridges built by junior and senior high school students from the region. Geology/ Geological Engineering Dept. Friday Seminar Series: " Applications of Stable Isotope Hydrology" Speaker: Larry Puttnam 4: 00 pm, Minerals Industries Bldg., Room 222 Basketball Games vs. Dakota Wesleyan University 6: 00 pm, Women's Game/ 8: 00 pm, Men's Game; Goodell Gymnasium -- more-- -- Page 2— Saturday, Feb. 20 Kids Block Contest 10: 00 am, Surbeck Center Ballroom Grade school children will build engineering projects with interlocking blocks in this contest sponsored by the Black Hills Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. IEEE Hardware Design Contest 8: 00 am 4: 00 pm, Electrical Engineering/ Physics Bldg. SDSM& T electrical and computer engineering students will be given 8 hours to create a solution to a problem, build it, and write a report on it. The best team will advance to the Region 5 Conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers ( IEEE).
